Vellum Flowers Birthday Card

Hey friends,

Today I'd like to share a birthday card I made for a crafty friend, Snow, who has had a really rough time for the last few months. If you are active on Instagram you may follow her already. To send her some love and see her lovely work, click here.

Ok, onto the card! First, I die-cut a stitched base for my card in Neenah solar white using the A2 rectangle in the MFT Blueprints 25 set. Unfortunately this set has been discontinued so I can't provide a link. However if you have another A2 sized stitched rectangle, you could use that.
(I sometimes use the largest rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables also. Seeing as I was using all MFT products for this card, I used the blueprints die.)

Next I die-cut the Fog Gray piece using MFT Striped Sentiment Strip Cover-Up Die-namics. I attached this to the white stitched base I'd previously cut, using lots of foam tape to add dimension.

For the flowers and foliage, I stamped and heat embossed some of the flowers and the leaves from MFT Funky Flowers stamp set onto some vellum. I then die-cut these using the matching dies.

I attached these and then decided a pretty pop of pink would suit this card for the sentiment strip. I used MFT Pink Lemonade Card Stock and heat embossed the sentiment from the Essential Sentiments stamp set. I die-cut this flag shape using the MFT pierced fishtail flags but these are also discontinued. They have a similar set which has the stitching rather than the pierced detail, the link for these is here.

To finish it off I added the clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh

I love how pretty and feminine this card turned out. :)
I've added links to the items I used in the description along the way, just hover over the items :)
Well, that's all for today...

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
