Today I am sharing a shaker card I made for my son's friend. I thought the fun element of the shaker would be perfect for added excitement for a little girl!
I started by die-cutting the pieces for it. The 'gift box cover up' die from MFT was the perfect die for this occasion as it gives 4 little windows you can use. After cutting from this die 5 times (to allow for stacking for height for the shaker) I was ready to do some ink blending on the 4 mini background pieces. Using distress oxide inks, I blended each of the 4 pieces and set aside. I also decided to spritz the top white piece of card with some shimmer spray using Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Although it's very hard to see it in the photos because it's so subtle.
Once those elements were ready, I stamped and coloured the images from the 'Birthday Chicks' stamp set and cut them out using my Brother Scan n Cut. I also added some finishing touches with a white gel pen. Now I had everything ready to assemble my card.
Four of the collage pieces were stacked and adhered together and then adhered to an A2 card base. Next I attached each of the 4 ink blended background pieces, into their places. A piece of acetate was adhered to the back of the sparkly top collage piece before that piece could be adhered to the top of the stack. Using tiny little stars in coordinating colours, I filled each of the 4 compartments and then glued the top sparkly piece of the collage into place.
To finish, I adhered the sweet little stamped images onto the front of the windows and the card was complete. I decided to put the sentiment inside of the card as I didn't think there was much room to put one on the front without making it too 'busy'.
I am going to play along with the My Favorite Things Birthday Project - Shaker Cards challenge. If you'd like to find out more about this challenge, just click HERE.

I hope you like this card for today, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Gorgeous!
