Hello friends!
Today I'm here to share what I've created to participate in the Neat and Tangled Throwdown - Party Ensemble Challenge. You can find out more about it here.
Seeing as it's Easter, I decided to go with an Easter theme. My kids have been excitedly watching me as I created each piece for the ensemble.
First, I created the gift bags. I stamped some images from the 'cottontail cuties' stamp set and also the bunny from 'holiday baking', all over plain white bags. I did second generation stamping so that it wasn't too bold. However in hindsight, I think I should've just used grey!
Once they were all stamped, I made the name tags to go on the front. I die cut some flag shapes in coordinating colours and white and then added the stamped and coloured bunnies to the bottom. I stamped each name on them also. I simply attached these with a peg.
Next I created the cupcake toppers. I used 2 different sized punches to punch out circles and the scalloped circles and stamped and coloured bunnies to go in the middle of them. I also used the egg and carrot images from the 'cottontail cuties' stamp set. They were finished off with some polka dots which I added with a white gel pen. I attached the toppers to toothpicks to insert into the cakes.
I like to have food labels when we have a party so I decided to die cut some small rectangles for this. I also stamped and coloured the bunny from 'holiday baking' for these, as it looks like he's holding up the little sign!
I really wanted something in a frame, so I decided to create a simple image by using distress oxide inks to blend a background and then stamped, coloured and fussy cut the gorgeous image from the 'itty bitty welcoming committee' set. I thought a bunny and a lamb were just perfect for an Easter image! I managed to JUST squish in the happy easter sentiment from the cottontail cuties set. It just fit and I loved how that turned out. My daughter wants to keep this once Easter is over!
I created some more of the circles for the drink labels and cut strips of the coordinating pastel card to wrap around them.
Lastly I decided to whip up a banner by making even more circles. These circles are so useful, you can use them for just about anything when it comes to party decorating!!
I spent a lot of time colouring these gorgeous bunnies but I had so much fun and my kids are so excited by our Easter party display. They can't wait to tuck into the treats now :)
Good luck to all of the entrants, this has been a fun challenge. If you celebrate, have a Happy Easter!
Thank you for stopping by!
