Hello friends,

Here is another card I have made to participate in the My Favorite Things 2017 Card Design Superstar Challenge. I have entered this card into the Innovation Master category.

I have never made a slider card before but I have had the little MFT slider elements sitting here ever since they released them! I finally got out of my comfort zone to give it a try for this challenge.

I thought it might be cute to have a bear in a hot air balloon in the sky with the slider giving the impression that he was floating through the air. I also decided to really challenge myself and add some little shaker elements with little clouds.

First I created the cloudy sky background with the 'Cloud Stencil' and 'Tumbled Glass' distress ink.
I put that aside while I stamped, cut and coloured the balloon image and the bear from the 'Up in the Air' set. Once they were ready, I placed them on the cloud panel to see what space I had and where to cut the cloud shaker shapes and where to cut the slider channel.

Once I had an idea where I wanted things, I die cut the slider channel using the 'Hit the Slopes' die-namics and then I die cut the 2 cloud shapes using the 'Stitched Cloud' die-namics.

I turned the panel over and adhered 2 small pieces of acetate over the cloud shapes to create the front of the shaker window. I then started adhering double layers of foam tape all over the back of the panel, making sure to leave enough space around the slider channel, for the sliding mechanism to move freely.

I then attached a slider element onto a small coin and set that aside to dry. I filled the little shaker windows with some sequins and translucent hearts and attached a backing to them. I attached the balloon image to the sliding mechanism and added a backing to the panel. When it was all assembled, I decided to add a little more sparkle with some scattered sequins on the front of the panel.

I hope you like my card, I am so pleased that it actually worked out in the end.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

I can't seem to create the picture links to some of the products I have used so I will just add normal links here:
