MFT waiting for a bone card

Today I'm sharing a card I made with these cute puppies from My Favorite Things.

I've had this idea in my head for a while and I wasn't sure if it would turn out as I imagined, but now that it's done, it's pretty close. I pictured this puppy hanging from the window ledge wishing for a bone and his doggy friends queueing up behind him!!

My kids love the Hairy Maclary books and it reminded me of the book where he waits outside the butcher for a bone and then all the neighbourhood dogs follow him around town!
Anyway, onto the card...

First I stamped out the dogs and bones and coloured them in using Copics.
I created the wall with a stencil and distress ink and then die cut the window out of it. I also cut the window from white cardstock and then blue and white for the little cover over the top. I really love this window die.

I wanted to put a sign up to show that it was a butcher. I white heat embossed the word onto some black card and then I also heat embossed some silver dots in the corners to try and make it look like it had been screwed to the wall.

Now I had all of the elements ready it was time to assemble the card. I placed some light grey card behind the window and I attached the 'wall' to the card using foam tape to create a little dimension in the window. I adhered the bones in the window and then adhered the dogs with some foam tape also. To finish it off, I put some glossy accents on the noses.
I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
